4 o'clock church
Why do we need another church service?
Many working people see Sunday as their only family time. A conventional Sunday morning service takes up most of this precious day. To give people time for their families and a space to meet with God, we are running a short service at St Nicholas church at 4 o'clock on the last Sunday of the month.
Who is it for?
4 o'clock church is for anyone who wants to be part of an informal and relaxed Christian family, meeting to learn together, make friends and grow in faith. All ages are welcome.
When does it meet?
4 o'clock church meets on the last Sunday of the month at St Nicholas church at 4 o'clock. The service runs for about 50 minutes. In between the monthly services we meet for a shared meal, again on Sunday at 4 pm, on the second Sunday in the month.
What can I expect at 4 o'clock church?
You can expect a friendly welcome and a session containing songs, conversation, quizzes, videos, drama and prayer, followed by drinks and time to get to know people. Shared teas are opportunities to enjoy "finger food" while making new friends and catching up with "old" ones; there are plenty toys for the children to enjoy.
