Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the rest of our lives, the first step in response to God's love. It is a joyful moment when we rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, making serious promises and declaring the faith. In the Anglican Church it is common to baptise young children (sometimes known as christening); adults can also be baptised but are normally confirmed too.
Baptism takes place during the morning services of all three Anglican churches in Cramlington. There are also separate services on some Sunday mornings. For further details please click here for more information.
If you are considering baptism for yourself or for your child please email Heather Johnson. She will arrange an appointment to see you at St. Nicholas Parish Centre to discuss arrangements for the baptism.
If you do not live in Cramlington or worship in one of our churches, please contact your local vicar. You can find out details of your local church here.
